Los Angeles Partners Steven J. Renick and Anthony J. Ellrod, and Orange County Partner Sevan Gobel recently concluded a highly successful three-week jury trial in Orange County Superior Court on behalf of a public benefit corporation client in a breach of contract case involving damages in excess of $85M. They faced off against the firm Greenberg Gross.
After less than three hours of deliberation following a nearly month-long trial, the jury returned a full defense verdict. Mr. Renick, Mr. Ellrod, and Mr. Gobel received tremendous support at trial from the firm’s appellate counsel Partner Scott Wm. Davenport, who prevailed on numerous motions in limine, motions for nonsuit and a directed verdict.
The team also received incredible day-to-day support in both trial preparation and throughout the trial from Partner Fredric W. Trester, Associate Aris B. Artounians, and Partner Candice S. Rogers.
