Ashna Gupta is an Associate in the San Francisco office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Business Litigation, Premises Liability, Product Liability and Retail, Restaurant, and Hospitality Litigation teams.

Ms. Gupta received her Bachelors of Law (LLB) from O.P. Jindal Global University and Bachelors of Commerce with Honours from Gargi College, University of Delhi, India.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Gupta practiced law at leading law firms in India. Over four years, she advised domestic and multinational businesses on commercial transactions, corporate governance, employment and intellectual property matters, and regulatory compliance.

Alongside her corporate experience, Ms. Gupta supported contentious matters involving maritime law, insolvency and bankruptcy, and contractual disputes. Her work included legal research, drafting pleadings and notices, communicating and negotiating with opposing counsel, briefing senior counsels, and assisting with proceedings before the district courts, Delhi High Court and Supreme Court of India.

After relocating to San Francisco, Ms. Gupta worked as an independent legal consultant on various commercial matters. She has also contributed to legal publications, including the India chapters of Lexology’s Getting the Deal Through: Automotive and The Legal 500’s Public Procurement Guide.

Her background in advisory, regulatory compliance along with her litigation experience enables her to understand clients’ business priorities, analyze complex factual and legal issues, and approach disputes with careful attention to evidence and practical implications for her clients.

Ms. Gupta is admitted to the State Bar of California, USA as well as the Bar Council of Delhi, India. She is committed to diligent advocacy and to building trusted client relationships through integrity, responsiveness, and dedication to her clients’ interests.
