Southern California Fraud Investigators' Association Lunch N' Learn Presented by Brian Mizell and Daniel Hernandez

On March 5, 2015, Los Angeles partner Brian Mizell and associate Daniel Hernandez of Manning & Kass facilitated a discussion on Examinations Under Oath for the Southern California Fraud Investigators' Association (SCFIA). Case and stutory law relevant to the area was discussed as well as tips on issues to avoid. Brian Mizell is a member of the SCFIA Board for 2015-2016. He is also the contact for conference exhibitors and sponsorships.

Membership in the SCFIA is limited to peace officers, claims examiners, investigators, attorneys, corporate security and/or loss prevention personnel engaged in the investigation and prosecution of fraud and whose duties include the identification and prosecution of fraud offenders. The mission of the SCFIA is: to heighten the fraud investigators' knowledge of ongoing fraudulent activity; to provide to our members a forum for the informal exchange of information and knowledge; to improve methods and procedures for eliminating crime involving fraud; and to establish fellowship.
