Two Manning Kass Attorneys Recognized in Super Lawyers’ 2025 Northern California Lists

Manning Kass is proud to announce that two of our San Francisco attorneys were selected by Super Lawyers for their 2025 Northern California lists. Congratulations to Equity Partner David V. Roth, who has been recognized as a Super Lawyer, and Associate Riane R. Briones, who was recognized as a Rising Star! Mr. Roth has been named a Super Lawyer nine times, and this marks the first time Ms. Briones has been honored with the distinction.

Super Lawyers is a rating service and directory of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is peer-influenced and research-driven, naming the top 5% of attorneys on the Super Lawyers list each year. The Rising Stars list names the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state who are 40 years old or younger or have been practicing law for 10 years or less.

About the Attorneys

David V. Roth is an Equity Partner in the San Francisco office of Manning Kass. He is the leader of the Retail, Restaurant, and Hospitality Litigation team and a member of the Business Litigation, Premises Liability, and Product Liability teams. Mr. Roth has been named a 2015-2020, 2022, and 2024-2025 Super Lawyer. He currently represents and advises several Fortune 500 companies in the retail, restaurant, amusement park, and entertainment industries. He represents these clients in a wide range of matters including personal and catastrophic injury cases involving premises liability, product liability and third-party criminal acts. In addition, Mr. Roth represents his clients in contract claims, employment actions, class action matters (employment and consumer claims), catastrophic fire loss subrogation matters, and complex ADA claims.

Riane R. Briones is an Associate in the San Francisco office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Premises Liability, Product Liability, and Retail, Restaurant, and Hospitality Litigation teams. Prior to joining Manning Kass, Ms. Briones worked as an associate at a firm in the Peninsula, where she handled a variety of insurance defense cases involving premises liability, habitability, wrongful death, and motor vehicle accidents.
