Mr. Ellrod will be presenting “”Signed, Sealed…. Enforceable? Understanding Liability Releases and Waivers”, in which he will discuss how liability releases, waivers, and assumption-of-risk agreements are used to shift risk in litigation. Attendees will learn the basics of negligence and burdens of proof, what makes these agreements legally enforceable, and the most common ways plaintiffs attempt to challenge them.
