Los Angeles Partner Louis W. Pappas heads the Health Care Liability team at Manning Kass. Mr. Pappas has a distinguished record of successfully defending complex, high-exposure jury trials in courtrooms throughout the State of California. For more than 29 years, Mr. Pappas' impressive trial experience in healthcare has ranged from defending the individual clinician in medical malpractice actions involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death or birth injuries; to representing major medical centers and public entities. While his statewide trial practice continues to be focused on the healthcare industry, Mr. Pappas has developed expertise in the representation and defense of clients, including many Fortune 50 Companies, in general liability litigation and trials where a significant portion of the damages involve medical-related issues. Mr. Pappas is a member of the invitation-only American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an organization of seasoned trial attorneys responsible for elevating the standards of integrity, honor, ethics, civility and courtesy in the legal profession.
