Alison E. De Young is an Associate in the Los Angeles office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Apellate Law (Strategy, Writs, and Appeals) and Governmental Entity Liabilities team. 

Ms. De Young is a graduate of San Joaquin College of Law, where she was a Dean's Scholar with awards for academic performance in constitutional and international law. During law school, she was a judicial extern at the United States District Court, Eastern District of California. AS a judicial extern, she worked extensively on actions filed under 28 U.S.C. section 1983. 

After law school, she began her career as a Deputy District Attorney for the Fresno County District Attorney's Office. As a Deputy District Attorney, she tried a variety of cases and assisted the Homicide Unit with complex law and motion matters. Subsequently, she was a Staff Attorney for the Kings County Superior Court, where she provided research assistance to seven judicial officers presiding in civil, criminal, and family law departments. Prior to joining Manning Kass, she was a Senior Appellate Court Attorney at the California Court of Appeal, Fifth Appellate District. During her three-year tenure at the Fifth Appellate District, she handled a wide variety of cases and was assigned to a team tasked with reviewing writ petitions requesting immediate or expedited action from the court. 

Ms. De Young is an experienced research and writing attorney with extensive practice experience in writs and appeals. She is a member of the California State Bar.
