
Brian T. Moss is leader of the Manning Kass ADA Compliance Litigation Team, as well as managing partner of the firm’s Orange County office, where he has practiced since 1995. He is also a member of the Premises Liability and Security Services and Security Guard Litigation Teams. Mr. Moss was raised as an "Army brat" for the first 21 years of his life. Mr. Moss spent the first three years of his legal career practicing in Houston, Texas, where he received invaluable trial experience. He worked for a boutique firm specializing in premises and product liability, medical treatment and billing fraud, and general liability claims.
Since returning to California in 1994, his practice has focused on high/excess exposure damage cases in the areas of premises liability, ADA, subrogation and recovery, security/loss prevention and product liability. With an impeccable trial record, Mr. Moss has obtained the trust of the largest grocers, retailers and restaurants in the country. Mr. Moss understands the importance of brand protection and customer satisfaction, while also being able to provide an aggressive defense in the most sensitive of cases. He is lauded by many clients for his ability to engineer significant cost saving resolutions in complex matters.
Mr. Moss serves as general counsel to the Combined Claims Conference, a non-profit educational conference that provides quality training to insurance professionals, defense attorneys and individuals specializing in insurance claims handling. He has spoken at international conventions, including the International Association of Special Investigation Units and IHRSA. Mr. Moss is regularly consulted by and lectures for nationally known retailers, shopping malls, restaurants, health clubs, insurance and security guard companies in the areas of liability, negotiations, policy and procedures, damage defenses, and SIU litigation.
Mr. Moss holds an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating an attorney can receive for legal quality and ethics. He received his JD from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1990 and his BA in economics from San Diego State University in 1987.
