Brian T. Puglise is an Associate in the San Diego office of Manning Kass. He is a member of the Workers' Compensation team.
Mr. Puglise received his Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, Mr. Puglise was a member of the San Diego International Law Journal and then went on to serve as an Executive Editor for the journal.
Prior to joining Manning Kass, Mr. Puglise worked at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs as a Decision Review Officer. The goal was always to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the disability compensation system charged with issuing benefits to the nation’s Veterans and their families. During his last ten years with the agency, Mr. Puglise was a disability compensation subject matter expert that served as a member of the quality review team. His duties included answering U.S. Congressional inquiries, conducting evidentiary hearings, and providing substantive training on policy changes, disability evaluations, and judicial opinions.
Prior to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Mr. Puglise worked extensively in the construction industry throughout Southern California as a Demolition and Grading Foreman and as a Journeyman Grade Checker. Notably, he began this endeavor in earnest working for his father’s construction business for over a decade before branching out to work with some of the Southland’s preeminent construction companies.
