Linna T. Loangkote is a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Intellectual Property, Insurance Coverage / Bad Faith, Professional Liability, and Real Estate teams.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Loangkote practiced intellectual property litigation, public entity litigation, complex litigation, and insurance coverage, serving clients such as the Los Angeles Unified School District.

Ms. Loangkote earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. While in law school, she served as senior production editor of The Hastings Law Journal and senior notes editor of The Hastings Science & Technology Journal. Her published law review note was cited in Witkin’s Summary of California of Law (10th ed.), noted as providing a "unique protection for fashion designers." She also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Barry Russell (Bankr. C.D. Cal.) and the Honorable S. James Otero (C.D. Cal.).

Ms. Loangkote is the author of “Fashioning a New Look in Intellectual Property: Sui Generis Protection for the Innovative Designer,” 63 Hastings L.J. 297 (2011). As an active member of the Los Angeles community, Ms. Loangkote is Chair of Jumpstart’s Southern California Young Professionals Board, a non-profit working toward the day every child enters kindergarten prepared to succeed. She also is a member of the Junior League of Los Angeles and currently serves on its Public Affairs Committee.

She is a member of the California State Bar, and is fluent in Teochew Chinese.
