Natalie E. Ortiz is a Partner in the San Diego office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Employment Law team and the Complex Litigation team.
 
Immediately before joining Manning Kass, Ms. Ortiz worked at a boutique law firm in San Diego specializing in contested trust, will, and conservatorship matters. Ms. Ortiz also has experience handling employment matters including Department of Fair Employment and Housing claims, wage & hour claims, and retaliation, harassment, and discrimination cases. As a fluent Spanish speaker, Ms. Ortiz's diverse background helps her evaluate cases efficiently and facilitate productive communication among the parties in order to bring about the best possible resolution for her clients.

Community engagement has always been a focus for Ms. Ortiz. She is currently a volunteer mediator for the National Conflict Resolution Center, offering mediation services in English and Spanish. She is also an active member of the Louis M. Welsh American Inn of Court. Previously, Ms. Ortiz served on the Board of Directors for the Probate Attorneys of San Diego and as a volunteer for local organizations such as the San Diego Volunteer Lawyer Program and the Wills for Heroes program.
 
As an Illinois native, Ms. Ortiz earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She later relocated to San Diego in search of warmer weather and obtained her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
 
Outside of work, Ms. Ortiz enjoys spending as much time as possible with her husband and two daughters.
