Whitley E. Whitaker is an Associate at Manning Kass in the Dallas office. She is a member of the Premises Liability team.

Ms. Whitaker received her Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, where she graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. She was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Alpha Chi National Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Delta International Sociology Honor Society, and the College of Fine Arts and Communication-Council of Scholars. Ms. Whitaker earned many honors and achievements, such as the Coalition of Black Faculty and Staff Academic Achievement Award and being on the Dean’s List for consecutive semesters. She distinguished herself as a University Ambassador and enjoyed working with the Pre-Law Society, Black Women United, and Bobcat Preview.

Ms. Whitaker obtained her Juris Doctor with Cum Laude honors from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. While in law school, she served as a Student Ambassador, Student Assistant for the Department of Experiential Education, and she obtained the State of Texas Dispute Mediation Certification. Additionally, Ms. Whitaker was able to achieve academic success which led to her being on the Dean’s List for several semesters. Prior to obtaining her Juris Doctor, she completed a Summer Law Clerkship for a Personal Injury law firm.

Before joining Manning Kass, Ms. Whitaker worked as a Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Attorney where she managed cases dealing with motor vehicle accidents, DUI/DWI collisions, premises liability, and catastrophic injuries. Additionally, she worked as an Insurance Defense Associate, where she defended retail businesses, restaurants, and commercial landowners in various litigation matters.

Ms. Whitaker is admitted to the State Bar of Texas and the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas. She is currently a member of the Dallas Bar Association and the J.L. Turner Legal Association. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
