About the Role

We are seeking a proactive, full-time litigation paralegal for our Governmental Entity Liability Team. We are seeking a person with 3-5+ years of litigation experience to join our team. The team focuses on law enforcement and public entity defense. This specialized Team is known for representing public entities in a variety of cases, including dangerous condition claims and law enforcement officer liability matters. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and is proactive. 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Conducting legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, case law, and jury verdicts.
  • Summarizing case documents including document productions, expert reports, and deposition transcripts.
  • Preparing trial binders and exhibits.
  • Subpoenaing records, including preparing and serving subpoenas and following-up on productions.
  • Propounding & responding to discovery.
  • Maintaining files, including keeping track of discovery deadlines.

Experience

 

  • 3-5+ years of litigation experience. 
  • Paralegal certification from an ABA approved school. 
  • Trial experience preferred. 
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage and meet deadlines. 

 

Company Offers

 

  • Salary starting at $70,000 - $102,000. Salary is commensurate with experience.
