Pasadena Magazine Names Lou Pappas Top Medical Malpractice Attorney
For the 10th year in a row, Lou Pappas was selected as one of the Top Medical Malpractice Attorneys by his peers in the San Gabriel Valley and beyond. The 2019 Top Attorney awards, honoring excellence in all specialties of law, were featured in the March 2019 issue of Pasadena Magazine. Only five attorneys were selected this year in the Medical Malpractice category.

Manning & Kass Partners with Project ECHO
Last week Manning & Kass partnered with Project ECHO and opened its doors to 26 high school students from all over Los Angeles county. They were given the unique opportunity to hear from numerous administrators on how to run a law firm and their particular roles within it. Led by our own Eugene Ramirez, the students were also mentored by attorneys and law clerks on how to formulate an argument and then argue their position in front of a judge.

Robert Wargo Wins Unanimous Summary Judgment Defense in Nightclub Performance Injury Case
Los Angeles Senior Counsel Robert Wargo successfully defended an appeal of a dismissal on summary judgment in a case involving a head injury suffered by an audience member during a performance at a popular West Hollywood nightclub. Plaintiff was hit in the head by a bar that fell from the ceiling during a performance at the nightclub after a performer had hung from it during the course of the show. Plaintiff had “resolved” a claim against the nightclub arising out of the incident, but sought damages from our client, the company which employed and managed the entertainers who were performing that night.
