Debora Verdier at 2014 PLUS Southwest Chapter Fall Seminar

The Professional Liability Underwriting Society ("PLUS") is recognized as the primary source of professional liability educational programs and seminars, networking events, educational products, and information regarding professional liability. Debora Verdier, an Arizona-based Manning & Kass partner, is a member of the Steering Committee for the Southwest Chapter of PLUS. On Thursday, September 25, 2014, Ms. Verdier moderated a panel discussion called “How the Affordable Care Act Impacts the Healthcare Industry” at the Southwest Chapter’s annual educational event in Scottsdale. The panelists included:  David Berg and former Phoenix mayor Paul Johnson, both of Redirect Health, Jason Gard of Crest Insurance, and Artie Eaves of Sanders & Parks, P.C. The discussion included such topics as how employers are responding to the “Pay or Play” mandate, how health care insurance providers are addressing the health care needs of business of all sizes, and how health care providers are changing their business models to accommodate for the changing reimbursement landscape.
