Dennis B. Kass Updates Insurance Executives on Latest Trends in Fraud Management

Manning & Kass Founding Partner and Complex Litigation Team Leader Dennis Kass spoke before an audience of insurance company executives, claims managers and fraud prevention experts as part of a featured panel at the 2019 Insurance Fraud Management Conference, held this week in Coronado, California. Titled “Emerging Litigation Issues That May Have an Effect on SIU Management,” the panel focused on topics that included recent case law interpretation, defending against institutional attack, employment of new technologies, availability of new data sets, and emerging statutes, and how those issues could affect the function and management of insurers’ Special Investigations Units (SIU).

The Insurance Fraud Management Conference is the leading national conference for fraud prevention and investigation professionals in the insurance industry. Put on annually by the National Insurance Crime Bureau and the Insurance Services Office, the Conference is an opportunity for attendees to learn from nationally recognized subject matter experts about new industry trends and practical fraud-fighting improvements.

Mr. Kass leads the firm’s complex litigation team, which focuses on affirmative litigation cases involving insurance fraud, first- and third-party special investigation defense, high-exposure and catastrophic personal injury matters, mass torts, transportation litigation, and class action defense. He has advised many organizations in his role as co-counsel for IASIU, counsel to the Southern California Chapter of IASIU, and as a member of the CLM fraud committee.
