In case you missed it, the publication Claims Journal wrote a synopsis of the online presentation hosted by the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud where our Assistant Managing Partner, Dennis B. Kass, was a speaker. The presentation examines the growing world of litigation funding and the concerns if it continues to be unregulated and beyond the reach of discovery.

“Anytime you have something that is unregulated and acting in the dark, it leads to abuse,” Kass said. “We’re seeing some of these little PI (personal injury) attorneys taken over by the litigation funders. They are controlling the doctors that the plaintiffs go to.”
