On January 28, Los Angeles associate Laura McAdams received an unanimous defense verdict on behalf of her client in an admitted auto liability case involving a rear-end collision. The trial, held earlier last month, lasted one week, and the jury deliberated for a total of 25 minutes. The plaintiff, an elderly woman with pre-trial settlement demands in the six figures, was unable to prove that the accident was a substantial factor in causing her injuries. This is the third trial to verdict for Ms. McAdams, and her second unanimous defense verdict as sole counsel.
