Liz Murphy Private Duty Workshop Presented by California Association for Health Services at Home

The last few years have brought sweeping changes to the home care industry in California. Providers all over California are struggling to adapt and comply with the litany of new labor laws and regulations. Liz Murphy, a frequent CAHSAH® speaker, attorney, and thought leader in the home health, hospice, and private duty industries, will help home health care professionals to tackle the multitude of issues currently on the horizon, including the loss of the sleep time exemption, overlapping state and federal overtime regulations, mandatory sick pay for all employees, and minimum wage increases at the state and municipal levels. This review also will include the wage hour basics, need-to-know staples for employment compliance, new laws for 2015, responding to a DLSE charge, arbitration demand or lawsuit, and many general tips for compliance. The first workshop will be held on April 20, 2015, in Sacramento, California. A second workshop will be held April 27 in Ontario, California. Click here for more information.
