Liz Murphy to Serve as Panelist for Home Care Association of America’s Northern California Chapter

On April 14, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, in San Mateo, California, Los Angeles partner Liz Murphy will speak on a panel for the Home Care Association of America’s Northern California Chapter. The HCAOA Northern California chapter is sponsoring a Town Hall Forum to accommodate HCAOA members in Northern California. The Forum will be held at the Skylawn Memorial Park, Vista Room, Hwy 92 at Rte. 35 in San Mateo, CA  94402.

The Forum will include an expert panel of speakers who will provide guidance on a host of issues including:
    • Loss of the sleep time exemption;
    • Overlapping state and federal overtime regulations;
    • Implementation of AB 1217 licensure;
    • Mandatory sick pay for all employees;
    • Local minimum wage increases exceeding state requirements;
    • Ongoing union political activities; and
    • Federal companion exemption lawsuits.
