Manning Kass Team Obtains Complete Dismissal in Action Against Retailer Client

In a recent personal injury action, Orange County Managing Partner Karen Liao and San Francisco Associate Safi Henson secured dismissal of all claims against our retailer client. After Plaintiff’s repeated failure to provide requested information and documents, the Superior Court granted our client’s motion to compel responses. When Plaintiff failed to comply with the Court’s order, our team moved for terminating sanctions, which the Court granted, dismissing the case in its entirety with prejudice.

Karen Liao is a member of our Business Litigation, Restaurant, Retail, and Hospitality, and Sports, Recreation, and Attractions Law teams. She focuses her practice on the defense of retailers, health clubs, sports clubs, attractions, theaters, and other businesses in matters involving general liability, premises liability, and business litigation. With experience on both sides of litigation practice, Ms. Liao draws upon her diverse legal background to imbue her practice with a unique approach to effective client representation.

Safi Henson is a member of our Appellate Law (Strategy, Writs, & Appeals) team. Before joining the firm, she practiced as a litigator, law and motion associate, and legal research attorney. Ms. Henson has experience in several practice areas such as public entity liability, employment, premises liability, and insurance defense.
