Manning & Kass Attains Favorable Settlement in Trip & Fall Case

The Manning & Kass Premises Liability practice came through for our client in a recent trip and fall case that took place at a major financial institution's branch. Our client provided landscaping services to this branch location and was brought into the lawsuit by way of a cross-complaint alleging causes of action for express indemnity, declaratory relief, and breach of contract. 

After a thorough analysis, the team, led by Los Angeles Senior Counsel Polina Polonsky, determined that whether any language in the contract agreement can be interpreted to include maintenance of cement curbs and walkways, such as the one that caused Plaintiff's fall, was questionable, leading to a swift and favorable settlement.
