Manning & Kass Attorneys Named 2014 Super Lawyers

Twelve Manning & Kass attorneys have been selected as Super Lawyers in their respective practice areas for 2014. Those recognized are founding partners Dennis B. Kass (Los Angeles, 2004–2009, 2013–2014) and Eugene “Gene” P. Ramirez (Los Angeles, 2005–2011, 2014), and named partner Fredric W. Trester (Los Angeles, 2006, 2008–2014); firm partners and practice area leaders Scott Wm. Davenport (Los Angeles, 2004–2006, 2009–2014), Al De La Cruz (San Diego, 2013–2014) and Erwin A. Nepomuceno (Los Angeles, 2005–2006, 2013–2014); firm partners Mildred “Missy” K. O'Linn (Los Angeles, 2004–2014), Steven J. Renick (Los Angeles, 2009–2014), Debora L. Verdier (Scottsdale, 2013–2014), Darin L. Wessel (San Diego, 2004–2006, 2009–2010, 2012–2014), and David J. Wilson (Los Angeles, 2005–2014), and associate Kenneth Kawabata (San Diego, 2014).

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

In April 2013, the Super Lawyers selection process received a patent (U.S. Pat. No. 8,412,564) from The United States Patent and Trademark Office. This distinction is relevant to both attorneys and consumers, as it further demonstrates credibility as an impartial third-party rating system. No more than 5 percent of the lawyers in a state are named to Super Lawyers. A total of 18 Manning & Kass attorneys, including all five named partners, have received the distinction since 2004. Sixteen of those were awarded for two or more years.
