Los Angeles Partner Mildred (Missy) K. O'Linn recently wrote an article for PoliceOne.com titled, "Analysis: The mischaracterization of California's use-of-force bill." This amendment was signed into law by Governor Gavin Newsome on August 19, 2019 and takes effect on January 1, 2020.
