Mildred K. O'Linn to Receive POST Excellence in Training Lifetime Achievement Award for 2015

The law firm of Manning & Kass, Ellrod, Ramirez, Trester LLP is pleased to announce that Los Angeles partner Mildred K. O'Linn has been selected to receive the POST Excellence in Training Lifetime Achievement Award for 2015.

The purpose of the POST Excellence in Training Award is to recognize" truly outstanding" law enforcement trainers. The awards for training excellence began in 1994, and were previously known as the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Peace Officer Training.

The award encourages and fosters innovation, quality, and effectiveness. The award is given in the categories of: Individual Achievement, Organizational Achievement, and Lifetime Achievement.  Ms. O'Linn will receive her Lifetime Achievement Award from the Commission at a special ceremony June 23rd. 

Ms. O'Linn was nominated by the Alhambra Police Department. Every year, in addition to her busy schedule as a trial attorney and litigator, Ms. O'Linn trains thousands of officers on use-of-force policy. She is known nationally as a passionate and persuasive advocate for law enforcement, as well as being an expert in lateral vascular neck restraints as well as martial arts. She is also recognized as a 2004–2016 Southern California Super Lawyer and is a member of the distinguished American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
