Three Manning Kass Attorneys Named as 2025 Southern California Super Lawyers

About the Attorneys
Anthony J. Ellrod is a Founding Partner in the Los Angeles office of Manning Kass. He is the leader of the Business Litigation, Corporate and Commercial Transactions, Intellectual Property, and Sports, Recreation, and Attractions Law teams, and is a member of the Land Use team. Mr. Ellrod has been named a 2005-2010 and 2016-2025 Super Lawyer, as well as a 2009-2010 Super Lawyer – Business Edition. Mr. Ellrod also holds an AV Preeminent® rating from Martindale-Hubbell, and is an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA).
Fredric W. Trester is a Named Partner in the Los Angeles office of Manning Kass. He is the leader of the Professional Liability and Real Estate teams, and a member of the Legal Malpractice team. Mr. Trester has been named a 2006 and 2008-2025 Super Lawyer. He has represented professionals in litigation for more than four decades and is well known in the real estate brokerage community as a go-to attorney for high-end real estate-related litigation. He is also a frequent lecturer and author on issues involving risk management and recent developments in the law impacting real estate brokers, design professionals, attorneys, businesses, and property owners.
Steven J. Renick is a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Manning Kass. He is a member of the Appellate Law (Strategy, Writs, & Appeals) team. Mr. Renick has been named a 2009-2018, 2023-2025 Super Lawyer. He has concentrated on appellate law for 25 years, acting as lead counsel in more than 100 appellate matters, 13 of which have resulted in published opinions. He has argued three cases in the California Supreme Court and has had two petitions for certiorari granted by the United States Supreme Court, and he briefed a third case on the merits at the U.S. Supreme Court. All six of these cases resulted in unanimous reversals in favor of the firm’s clients.
