Carl Basile is a Partner at the Los Angeles office at Manning Kass. He is a member of the Complex Litigation, Catastrophic Liability Defense, Special Investigation Unit / Insurance Fraud Litigation, and Trucking and Transportation teams.

Mr. Basile received his Bachelor of Arts in Media Production with a Minor in English from Kent State University.  He was a member of the Dean’s List and President’s List throughout his academic career and graduated Summa Cum Laude.  Mr. Basile received his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law, where he received several awards for his accomplishments, including the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence, the CALI Excellence for the Future Award, and the Dean’s List.  Mr. Basile also studied French and European Law at the University of Paris X - Nanterre.  

Mr. Basile was a judicial extern in the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco, for the Honorable Katherine A. Feinstein. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Basile worked as a litigation at an aviation defense firm in Pasadena, California, where he defended high-profile litigated actions involving airlines and aircraft manufacturers in a variety of matters, from catastrophic aircraft accidents to contract disputes pertaining to aircraft ownership.  Mr. Basile’s 20-year career has been focused on litigation, defending high-exposure matters in the transportation, public sector, personal injury, and products liability areas. 

Mr. Basile is admitted to the California State Bar and the Indiana State Bar.  In addition, Mr. Basile is admitted to practice before all of the United States District Courts in California, the Western District of Washington, and the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
