Elizabeth Poitras is an Associate in the San Diego office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Workers' Compensation team.

Ms. Poitras brings a strong foundation in litigation support, dispute resolution, and client advocacy, grounded in her diverse legal and military background.

Ms. Poitras earned her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Washington State University, reflecting a longstanding commitment to public service and the legal profession. Ms. Poitras earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law, where she concentrated in Alternative Dispute Resolution and civil litigation, honing her skills in negotiation and strategic problem-solving. 

Prior to joining Manning Kass, Ms. Poitras served as a Law Clerk at a criminal defense firm, where she contributed to a broad range of litigation matters and supported the daily operations of a fast-paced law practice. She also worked at the Kootenai County Public Defender’s Office, managing high-volume caseloads and assisting in the defense of indigent clients—gaining valuable insight into courtroom procedure, client relations, and criminal defense.

Before beginning her legal career, Ms. Poitras served in the United States Navy, where she developed the discipline, leadership, and mission-oriented mindset that continue to inform her work as an attorney. Ms. Poitras is admitted to practice law in the State of California.
