Esteban Ortiz is an Associate at in the Orange County office at Manning Kass. He is a member of the Employment, Business Litigation, Intellectual Property, Premises Liability, and Sports, Recreation, and Attractions Law teams.
Mr. Ortiz earned his Bachelor of Arts in Politics, with an emphasis in American Politics and a minor in Legal Studies, from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where he was a member of the Dean’s Academic List. He also holds an Associate Degree from Orange Coast College, where he received the Classified Senate Scholarship and the Jupiter-TOP Scholarship.
Mr. Ortiz received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was awarded the Zief Scholarship, the Blum Foundation Scholarship, and the Pro Bono Gold Award. During law school, he served as President of the American Constitutional Society and the as the Vice President of the Latinx Law Students Association, and competed in the National Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Competition.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ortiz gained broad experience in litigation, employment, and business law through his work at major law firms and government entities. He also served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Judge Charles Wilson of the Santa Clara Superior Court.
Mr. Ortiz is admitted to the California State Bar. He is fluent in Spanish and the author of "Educational Adequacy, Educational Equality: A Conjunction for the Future", published in the ASU Social Justice Journal (January 2024).
