Jalessa Lenise Almonacy is an Associate in the New York Office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the General Liability team.

Ms. Almonacy received her Bachelor of Arts cum laude in Media and Film. She was a member of the Dean’s List for outstanding academic achievement and was a member of Lambda Alpha Sigma Honor Society. Ms. Almonacy received her Juris Doctor from University of Massachusetts School of Law, where she received several awards for her accomplishments, including the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association’s Judge Lindsay Public Service Scholarship Award and the Pro Bono Award. She was an Associate Editor for UMass Law Review, she was also voted a representative for the Student Bar Association. She was the President of the Black Law Students Association. 

Ms. Almonacy was a judicial intern in the Massachusetts Superior Court and a law clerk in the New Jersey Superior Court. 

Before joining the firm, Ms. Almonacy worked in general negligence and workers' compensation, handling matters related to rail, bus, and other transportation, personal injury, professional liability, and toxic torts. 

Ms. Almonacy is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar and New York State Bar.
