Kimberly Aceves is an Associate at the Los Angeles office at Manning Kass. She is a member of the Governmental Entity Liability team.

Ms. Aceves received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Ms. Aceves earned her Juris Doctor from Southwestern Law School.  During law school, she received the Wildman/Schumacher Scholarship and the Legal Writing II Top Grade Award and served on the Southwestern Journal of International Law, as a Senior Lead Articles Editor. Her extracurricular involvement included the Latino Law Student Association, Women’s Law Association, and the First-Generation Law Student Association, where she also served as the alumni coordinator.

While in law school, Ms. Aceves gained hands-on experience through multiple public interest and government roles. She served as a Law Clerk in Southwestern’s Community Lawyering Clinic, providing legal services to college students on a variety of matters. She also clerked with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office in the Target Crimes Unit, where she assisted with drafting motions and stipulations, conducting legal research, attending Hague Convention hearings, and observing trials. Ms. Aceves also worked in the Department of Justice as a FBI Honors Intern where she worked in the Civil Rights Unit, assisting with matters involving civil rights enforcement and community-based investigations.

Ms. Aceves is admitted to the State Bar of California.
