
Mark R. Wilson is a Partner in the San Francisco office of Manning Kass. He is a member of the Appellate Law (Strategy, Writs, & Appeals) team.
He received his Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Miami University (Ohio) and his Juris Doctor, with highest honors, from Golden Gate University School of Law. During law school, Mr. Wilson served as the first executive online editor of the Golden Gate University Law Review and published a comment discussing the search of cloud-stored data on mobile devices incident to arrest. He also wrote regularly for the Harvard Law & Policy Review.
Mr. Wilson has substantial experience in appellate litigation. Prior to joining Manning Kass, Mr. Wilson served as a panel attorney representing indigent criminal defendants before the California Court of Appeal, First District, and worked for the Supreme Court of California as a staff attorney on the Court's criminal central staff. He has litigated in the California Courts of Appeal, California Supreme Court, and United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Wilson also serves on the board of the American Constitution Society's Bay Area Lawyer Chapter and the Amicus Committee of the Association of Defense Counsel of Northern California and Nevada.
