Maya Rodriguez Sorensen is a Partner in the San Francisco office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Governmental Entity Liability team.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Sorensen represented plaintiffs in civil rights and employment lawsuits as well as children in special education matters. Prior to her role as plaintiff's counsel in civil litigation matters, she spent eight years as a child welfare law attorney. She is a certified Child Welfare Law Specialist.

Ms. Sorensen graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society with a minor in English. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings.

Ms. Sorensen is admitted to the California State Bar, the United States District Courts, Northern District of California, Eastern District of California, the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
