R. Adam Ellison is an Equity Partner in the Dallas office of Manning Kass. He is a member of the Complex Litigation, Premises Liability, Special Investigations Unit / Insurance Fraud Litigation, and Trucking and Transportation teams.

A tenacious attorney with two decades of experience, Mr. Ellison handles complex matters including first- and third-party insurance claims, premises liability, and trucking. He has successfully represented his clients at every stage of litigation, including trials, hearings, mediations, and expert depositions. He has also handled numerous high-exposure cases, including catastrophic liability claims. Among other successful trial results, Mr. Ellison successfully defended a multimillion-dollar death case at trial and at the appellate level. His work garnered him recognition as a 2009 and 2011-2012 Super Lawyers Rising Star, a distinction limited to only 2.5% of attorneys in each state.

Mr. Ellison obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Religious Studies from the University of Vermont, where he was a member of the men’s varsity soccer team. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. While in law school, he clerked for the Federal Public Defender Office for the Eastern District of Louisiana and the State of Louisiana’s Attorney General’s Office.

Away from the office, Mr. Ellison enjoys spending time with his wife Lena and their two children. He is an alleged single digit handicap golfer, a San Francisco 49ers fan, and – having been born in Knoxville – a lifelong Tennessee Volunteers fan.
