Vieux M. Toure is an Associate in the New York office of Manning Kass. He is a member of the Business Litigation, Complex Litigation, Employment Law, Insurance Coverage / Bad Faith, Sports, Recreation, and Attractions Law, and Special Investigations Unit / Insurance Fraud Litigation teams.

Before joining Manning Kass, Mr. Toure was an Associate Attorney at one of the United States’ largest and most prestigious employment law boutique firms. Mr. Toure had previously summered at this firm during law school, and he specialized in Employment Litigation and Internal Investigations from the time he graduated until joining Manning Kass. He represented Company Management on employment law issues in federal and state court, arbitration, mediation, and before administrative agencies like the EEOC. He investigated many confidential and sensitive high-profile matters that involved reports of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, white-collar crime, and breaches of fiduciary duties, with reports often involving executives, board members, and other high-level supervisors and employees of top companies. Mr. Toure’s former role also involved advising, counseling, and training on employment law-related matters. He has led many workplace trainings to prevent sexual harassment and the spread of COVID-19. He also trained Human Resource professionals on workplace topics such as best practices for conducting investigations, drafting company handbooks, and more. Mr. Toure’s employment law experience additionally touched on drafting contractual agreements, handbooks, company policies, and individual performance plans on compensation, benefits, leave, unfair competition, separation, severance, performance improvement, and more. 

Mr. Toure is admitted to the New York State Bar and the United States District Court, Southern District of New York. Mr. Toure received his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law after he graduated magna cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany (“SUNY Albany”) with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

In law school, Mr. Toure was Chair of the University of Florida Levin College of Law’s largest conference, its Entertainment and Sports Law Symposium. He led the recruitment of nearly twenty in-house and firm attorneys at top entertainment and sports entities and firms. He also led the operations, programming, and moderating for the conference. He was a member of the Black Law Student Association. He won the Outstanding Achievement Award for academic excellence and commitment to leadership in matters involving pro bono work and public service. During his undergraduate at SUNY Albany, Mr. Toure was on the Dean’s List and National Honor Society. He won the Spellman Academic Achievement Award for academic success from a diverse background. He also won two “three-peats” (six total championships) in intramural and fraternity basketball.
