Congratulations To Anthony J. Ellrod And Trisha E. Newman For Their DEI Nominations

Founding Partner Anthony J. Ellrod and Partner Trisha E. Newman were officially nominated and recognized for the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Symposium & Awards. The Los Angeles Business Journal hosted a live event on March 21 where they honored DEI champions in the Los Angeles region for their ongoing efforts to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace and business leadership while simultaneously creating an inclusive environment that enables diversity and equity to thrive.

Ellrod developed an expertise in sports, recreation, and attractions law early in his career, and is nationally regarded as one of the leading experts in sports and recreation law. In addition to being a cutting-edge attorney in this area, his practice has evolved to include a significant amount of intellectual property law, business litigation, and commercial transactions. Ellrod was a founder, and serves as a director and pro bono general counsel for the Aurelia Foundation, whose mission is to create state-of-the-art day programs for adults with disabilities.

Newman is currently Chief Legal Officer for Women's Flat Track Derby Inc. and Head of the Women’s Affinity Group for the Sports Lawyers Association. She is a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals. As a partner for Manning Kass, she practices appellate and transactional law, with a focus on sports law, advertising, corporate law, and data privacy.
