Dennis B. Kass Promoted To Assistant Managing Partner

Manning Kass is proud to announce the promotion of Dennis B. Kass to Assistant Managing Partner. Mr. Kass is a founding member of the firm and has served in a variety of roles within the firm, in addition to his litigation practice where he has earned a variety of awards and recognitions along the way. The promotion comes after helping see the firm through the Covid-19 pandemic, continuing a long run of success as the Complex Litigation team leader, a top-to-bottom firm rebrand, and continuing to make waves on a national level. Since its inception, Manning Kass has grown to over 150 attorneys in seven offices and four states across the country.

“When promoting an attorney to Partner we often say that we are merely acknowledging a situation that already exists. In most cases the attorney is already performing like a Partner when we promote them, so we are merely acknowledging what they already are. Such is the case with Dennis Kass,” said Firm Managing Partner Steven D. Manning. “For several years now he has been increasingly assisting me with firm management issues, even the unpleasant ones. And he has done this while managing the Complex Litigation team."

Led by Mr. Kass, the Complex Litigation team focuses on affirmative fraud litigation (qui tam lawsuits), first and third-party special investigations/insurance fraud litigation, high-exposure personal injury cases, and trucking and transportation cases. He has appeared on numerous television and radio programs for his expertise and insight. He and his cases have been covered in the press hundreds of times, with his press credits including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Der Spiegel, and the Daily Journal. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, was the 1999 IASIU Southern California Chapter Defense Attorney of the Year, the 2001 California Lawyer Attorney of the Year for Civil Litigation (CLAY Award), and has been named a Super Lawyer multiple times.

Mr. Kass is highly regarded in the areas of insurance fraud litigation and transportation litigation. He has been called upon by various insurance companies to assist in the prosecution of complex and sophisticated fraud rings. He regularly lectures across the country and trains professionals in a variety of subject areas involving insurance fraud defense, affirmative litigation issues, and insurance coverage issues. He represents many trucking and other transportation clients, and serves as monitoring counsel for high-exposure matters.
