Gene Ramirez Promoted to Advocate Level with the American Board of Trial Advocates

July 15, 2026

This month, our founding Partner Eugene Ramirez, Co-Leader of the Governmental Entity Liability team, was promoted to Advocate level with the American Board of Trial Advocates, where he has been a member since 2005. The American Board of Trial Advocates, also known as ABOTA, is a premier national association comprised of experienced trial lawyers and judges that are dedicated to safeguarding the civil jury trial right established under the Seventh Amendment of the United States Constitution. ABOTA has over 7,300 members, all spread across all 50 states. To be promoted to Advocate level, an attorney must try 50 jury trials.

Mr. Ramirez is an experienced trial attorney in governmental entity liability defense. He is frequently recognized for his achievements in his industry, including being selected as the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department’s Trial Lawyer of the Year in both 1993 and 2006. Additionally, last year, he was acknowledged by Los Angeles Business Journal’s Leaders of Influence for his litigation and trial excellence.  This latest honor stands as a testament to his decades of consistent excellence as a trial attorney.

Congratulations, Gene, on this well-deserved achievement!
