Lou Pappas Makes Headlines with Confidential Agreement

In a closely-watched case which grabbed national headlines, Manning & Kass attorney Lou Pappas worked out what Law360 called "an eleventh hour deal" with plaintiff’s counsel on the eve of trial, in a case brought against firm client University of Southern California by former Trojan football player Armond Armstead. The case, Armstead's condition, and the April 2015 settlement has been covered by The Washington Post, LA Times, CBS Sports, and scores of notable legal and sports blogs. "While the university will not comment on the case," Mr. Pappas was quoted as stating, "USC has always placed the health and safety of its student-athletes as its top priority." Despite intense media pressure, the firm continues to maintain complete client confidentiality.
