Lou Pappas Wins Defense Verdict in Elder Abuse Trial

Following a seven week jury trial with claims of wrongful death and elder abuse, a Burbank jury, in November 2016, returned a defense verdict in favor of a Residential Care Facility (RCFE) represented by Lou Pappas of Manning &  Kass. Confident in the strength of their case, two well respected and seasoned plaintiff’s counsel who specialize in the prosecution of elder abuse claims, refused to entertain pre-trial settlement discussions and, on closing arguments, asked the jury to award damages of $10M - $30M.
