Manning & Kass Team Earns Dismissal In Orange County

Construction Practice Area Leader Sean Dowsing and Los Angeles Senior Counsel Roya H. Fohrer secured a recent dismissal following a failed mediation. The team was brought in to represent an inspector on a construction project in Orange County just months before trial. The case surrounded an incident where a property’s owner utility lines were damaged, with alleged seven-figure damages. The case involved all aspects of construction, from the design of the project through the final punch list.

The team quickly caught up to speed and entered into 50 hours of deposition testimony. Through carefully drafted questions and detailed preparation of their witnesses, they eliminated liability and created downside risk for the other parties’ keeping them in the case. That resulted in a dismissal with prejudice for our client without paying any money.
