Trisha E. Newman Named a Certified AI Governance Professional

This past month, Los Angeles Partner Trisha E. Newman earned the certified Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional credential through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). As an AI Governance Professional, Ms. Newman is tasked with the critical responsibility of evaluating AI, integrating relevant standards and best practices, and developing and implementing strategies for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. 

With the global expansion of AI technology, there is a rapid, cross-industry need for these professionals to understand and execute AI governance in a safe and responsible manner. The AIGP credential demonstrates Ms. Newman has the competency to build, use, and manage AI to prevent unnecessary risk or harm to the firm, its clients, or the public.

The AIGP certification was developed and launched by the IAPP in tandem with the IAPP AI Governance Center. The IAPP is the largest and most comprehensive global information privacy and AI governance community and resource. Founded in 2000, the IAPP is a not-for-profit organization that helps define, support, and improve the privacy profession globally. Trisha E. Newman is a member of the ADA Compliance Litigation, Appellate Law (Strategy, Writs, & Appeals), Business Litigation, Corporate and Commercial Transactions, and Intellectual Property teams.
