Christine M. La Vorgna is a Partner in the San Diego office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Employment Law team.

Ms. La Vorgna concentrates her practice in the areas of wrongful termination, discrimination, wage & hour claims, DFEH claims, EEOC claims, and DLSE claims, among other topics. She also handles high-exposure general liability matters. Ms. La Vorgna has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation from both a plaintiff and defense position. As a talented litigator and negotiator, Ms. La Vorgna earned the reputation of being a zealous advocate who provides strategic counseling and assistance for each of her clients. She has both jury trial and bench trial experience, with five defense awards to her credit.

Prior to joining Manning Kass, Ms. La Vorgna worked exclusively in the field of family law where she led or co-chaired dozens of trials that involved issues of domestic violence, child custody, and marital dissolution. Ms. La Vorgna is keenly aware of the importance of ensuring her clients are informed and comfortable with the litigation process.

Ms. La Vorgna earned her Juris Doctor degree from Whittier School of Law where she competed on her school’s Trial Advocacy Competition Team. She also served as a volunteer for the voiceless with her school's Children’s Rights Clinic. During law school, Ms. La Vorgna studied abroad at the University of Cantabria in Santander, Spain where she received a CALI award in Estate Planning.

Ms. La Vorgna earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara where she majored in Law and Society and minored in Sport Management. During her undergraduate studies, Ms. La Vorgna lived in Washington, D.C., and worked on Capitol Hill as a Matsui Congressional Fellow for a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Congresswoman Lois Capps.

Ms. La Vorgna continues to fulfill her passion to help others as a volunteer advocate for Court Appointed Special Advocate CASA for children in the foster care system. She has also been a volunteer for Laura's House of Orange County where she assisted victims of domestic violence with the prosecution against their perpetrators.
