Manning Kass is proud to announce its newly promoted partners for 2024: Andrea K. Kornblau and Christine M. La Vorgna. Congratulations to both attorneys on this well-deserved promotion. They join an elite group of experienced, diverse, and recognized group of partners who are leaders in their respective practices.

More about our new partners:

  • Andrea K. Kornblau works in the Los Angeles office at Manning Kass and is a member of the Governmental Entity Liability team. She works closely with various public entities and members of law enforcement throughout California on high-stakes and high exposure litigation cases in federal and state courts. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kornblau held positions with prestigious AV-rated defense firms, focusing on litigation practice groups, where she developed excellent trial preparation and motion writing skills. She also clerked for the State of California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General. Ms. Kornblau earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego and her Juris Doctor from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. While in school, she earned a CALI Award for California pre-trial preparation, a Jefferson Medal for California pre-trial preparation, and a Witkin Award of Excellence for advanced mediation, negotiation, and theory, and California pre-trial preparation. She was also a Superior Court mediator, and a member of the Public Interest Law Foundation.

  • Christine M. La Vorgna works in the San Diego office at Manning Kass and is a member of the Employment Law team. She concentrates her practice in the areas of wrongful termination, discrimination, wage & hour claims, DFEH claims, EEOC claims, and DLSE claims, among other topics. She also handles high-exposure general liability matters. She has extensive experience in all aspects of civil litigation from both a plaintiff and defense position. Ms. La Vorgna has earned the reputation of being a strong litigator and a zealous advocate who provides strategic counseling and assistance for each of her clients. In the year leading up to her promotion to Partner, she co-chaired three matters to verdict. These were not only complex, but resulted in no less than 16 verdicts due to the number of plaintiffs seeking compensation against the firm’s clients. She has also co-chaired over a dozen bench trials that involved issues of domestic violence, child custody, and marital dissolution. Prior to joining the firm, she worked exclusively in the field of family law, where she led or co-chaired dozens of trials. She earned her Juris Doctor from Whitter School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society from the University of California.

“We’re proud to welcome both of these outstanding attorneys to the rank of Partner,” said Founding Partner, Steven Manning. “Their hard work, dedication, and sterling reputations speak for themselves. I’m excited to see them continue to make waves now and into the future in their respective fields.”
