James McKenney is a Partner in the New York office of Manning Kass. He is a member of the Special Investigations Unit / Insurance Fraud Litigation team.
Mr. McKenney has numerous years of experience litigating complex commercial and civil matters, including healthcare and insurance coverage issues, regulatory violations, Medicaid fraud claims, contract disputes, and civil RICO actions in federal, state, and appellate courts. His practice focuses on complex civil and commercial litigation involving the prosecution and defense of insurance and healthcare litigation, with particular emphasis and experience in the areas of insurance fraud law, and related litigation and coverage issues.
Mr. McKenney started his legal career serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Mark D. Fox in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York and in the Staff Attorneys’ Office for the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, during which he wrote extensively on various legal issues, including habeas corpus, prisoners’ rights, civil rights, constitutional law, immigration, employment discrimination, and contract disputes.
