Janet D. John is a Partner in the Los Angeles office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Workers’ Compensation team.

She has defended more than one hundred workers’ compensation cases with a multitude of “take nothings.” Prior to joining the firm, Ms. John clerked for a District Court Judge, and for an East Lansing firm that had a contract with the City Attorney’s Office. She was able to prosecute criminal matters acting as the assistant city attorney.

Ms. John is a member of the State Bar of California, and admitted to practice before all California Courts. In addition, Ms. John is admitted to the State Bar of New York. She was recognized as a 2010 Super Lawyers Rising Star—an honor received by no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state.

Ms. John received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley School of Law.
