Manning & Kass Shows We Care for Foster Kids

Sunday, September 14, 2014
A ten person team from the law firm of Manning & Kass showed their support for Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Los Angeles by participating in the 7th Annual Justice Jog 5K Run/Walk in Century City. CASA of Los Angeles improves the lives of foster children by pairing them with trained volunteer court advocates. CASA makes an immediate connection—one caring adult to one child in need—that can be the turning point in a life that has been interrupted and shaken by violence or neglect.

Team members included firm partner Janet D. John as well as associates Martin D. Holly, Michael Preis, and Matthew Kearl, all of whom work with the Manning & Kass Workers’ Compensation Team. The event was co-sponsored by the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators (GLA ALA).

The GLA ALA mission is to improve the quality of management in legal services organizations; promote and enhance the competence and professionalism of legal administrators and all members of the management team; and represent professional legal management and managers to the legal community and to the community at large. Robert Santos, the Director of Administration for Manning & Kass, is past president of GLA ALA. The Manning & Kass run/walk participants placed in the top 50% of a total of 35 law firm teams.
