Jamie N. Burke is a Partner in the New York office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Insurance Coverage / Bad Faith team.

Ms. Burke received her Bachelor of Science in Safety and Health Management from Central Washington University. Ms. Burke received her Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where she was Executive Notes Editor for the Global Studies Law Review.

Ms. Burke was a judicial extern in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois for the Honorable G. Patrick Murphy. She also externed in the United States Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, where she prepared witnesses to testify at congressional hearings.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Burke worked as a commercial litigation attorney at multiple mid-sized law firms in New York, New York, where she represented clients in state and federal courts, in practice areas including complex commercial real estate and business disputes, debtor-creditor law, and bankruptcy. 

Ms. Burke has a long track record of successfully representing insurance underwriters, mortgage loan servicers, and other financial institutions in commercial, consumer, real estate, and insurance coverage matters. She also served as Vice President and in-house counsel of a Fortune 500 insurance company.

Ms. Burke is admitted to the New York State Bar, New Jersey State Bar, the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York, and the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey, and Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
