Jamie N. Burke is a Partner in the New York office of Manning Kass, where she is a member of the Construction Law and Insurance Coverage / Bad Faith Teams, and manages the Strategic Writing and Appellate Team (SWAT) for the New York office. She represents insurers, corporate defendants, contractors, and property owners in New York and New Jersey trial and appellate courts. Her practice focuses on the defense of premises liability and Labor Law claims, insurance coverage disputes, and commercial litigation, including CPLR 7502 injunctions, Labor Law 200/240/241, and NYC Admin Code § 7?210 sidewalk liability matters.

She has successfully handled high-stakes commercial AAA arbitrations, including cases involving nationally recognized nonprofits. Her courtroom background includes trial and appellate advocacy in both state and federal courts across New York and New Jersey.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Burke litigated complex commercial and real estate disputes at multiple mid-sized law firms in New York, handling matters in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts. Her experience includes lien priority contests, partition actions, and ownership and foreclosure disputes, with a strong emphasis on motion and appellate practice. She previously served as Vice President and Senior Claims Counsel for Fidelity National Title Group, managing title litigation throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Ms. Burke earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where she served as Executive Notes Editor for the Global Studies Law Review. She holds a B.S. in Safety and Health Management from Central Washington University. While in law school, she externed for the Hon. G. Patrick Murphy in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois and for the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, where she prepared witnesses to testify before Congress.

She is admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for all three (3) districts.
