Marguerite L. Jonak is a Partner and Co-Founder of the New York office of Manning Kass. She is a member of the Employment Law, Premises Liability, Special Investigations Unit/Insurance Fraud Litigation, Subrogation and Recovery, and Workers' Compensation teams, among others. 

Her decades of experience started with the recovery of millions of dollars in restitution for numerous carriers and self-insured employers defrauded by prolific medical-legal providers and their co-conspirators, prosecuted and convicted for insurance fraud while she was a deputy district attorney for the County of Los Angeles.

She has since applied her investigative and litigation skills to all facets of insurance defense, with her ability to quickly identify the key dynamics of a dispute, obtain targeted discovery, and strategically maneuver recalcitrant parties to resolution to attain favorable results for her clients. She is tenacious and proactive in her defense of matters involving workers' compensation, premises and general liability, employment practices,  commercial claims, professional negligence, and high-exposure automobile liability. Her clients also seek her counsel in other matters, including subrogation and affirmative litigation, audits and risk management. Ms. Jonak is a member of the New York State Bar and California State Bar, and is admitted to the United States District Court, Central and Southern Districts of California, and Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
